Scotts Stores

Scott’s Stores was established in 1972 by Scott and June Hunter. Their first shop opened in Victoria Road, Glasgow with a second store opening in Barrhead in 1982. Our current premises were opened in 1988.Scott and June worked along with several long serving members of staff, who became friends as well as colleagues as they helped build the business into a thriving, established family run concern.The shops at 44 Main Street, Barrhead are currently run by John Park, who began working with Scott’s in December 1989. It was a busy Christmas season and Scott asked John to deliver a Christmas tree to a local Church, he has been there ever since!John became a partner with his father-in-law shortly after this. Scott sadly passed away in 2010. John still runs the shop today and uses his background as an electrician and tradesman to make it all work, offering advice and support to both our long-standing and new customers.The company motto is “We don’t just sell the stuff, we know the stuff!"
