What does the All About Barrhead offer my business?
As part of our ongoing commitment to support local businesses, All About Barrhead offers a range of opportunities exclusively for our levy-paying members. From funding support and free promotional campaigns to training and town centre initiatives, this section outlines the latest ways your business can benefit from being part of the BID.

Online Training
We are proud to introduce our brand new learning platform in partnership with SEEDL. If you're a levy paying Barrhead business then you and all your staff can now sign up to a digital platform enabling you to access over 300 CPD certified courses. This could be food hygiene, time management, Office 365 or even fire safety training. This is also a great way to provide training for your junior members of staff who are looking to build their CVs.

Free Mobile LED Billboard Advertising
One of the standout benefits of being part of All About Barrhead is access to our LED billboard advertising van. In the run-up to major events - especially around Christmas and during popular occasions like the Halloween Parade - we hire this mobile display to promote both the BID and our levy-paying businesses. The van travels through high-traffic areas across Barrhead, East Renfrewshire and even Greater Glasgow, showcasing everything our town has to offer.
At events, it leads parades and festivals, proudly displaying adverts for BID businesses so visitors can see exactly who helps make these events possible. Normally, hiring this kind of advertising would cost around £100 per day - but for our BID members, it's completely free and offered at least once a year but usually twice!

FREE Emergency First Aid at Work Training
All About Barrhead is committed to supporting our local businesses by offering an annual one-day Emergency First Aid at Work training course, free for all levy-paying members. This certified course equips your staff with essential life-saving skills, ensuring your business meets health and safety obligations.
Under the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981, all UK employers, including small businesses, are required to provide adequate and appropriate first aid provision. This includes conducting a first-aid needs assessment to determine the necessary number of trained first aiders and the type of training they should receive. For low-risk workplaces, having staff trained in Emergency First Aid at Work is often sufficient to comply with these regulations, however it is your business' responsibility to assess this.
By participating in our annual training, you not only ensure compliance with legal requirements but also enhance the safety and preparedness of your workplace.
